The deets: ASOS skirt; Elizabeth and James sunnies; LOFT tank; Michael Antonio heels; Piperlime clutch (old but love this one); Fornash bracelet; Francesca's earrings (very similar).
This skirt is sort of my go-to bottom for when I am not feeling my best but need to go out and try to feel put together. It is just the right amount of girly to make me feel pretty but also does an amazing job camouflaging a night of indulgence (ahem..shots, shots, and late night Dominos orders) under that little peplum ruffle.
You guys, Benefit's "They're Real!" Mascara was already one of my favorite beauty products known to man. When they came out with a "They're Real!" Push-Up Gel Liner that makes doing a perfect cat-eye a piece of cake, I HAD to have it (like I went on the pre-order wait list you guys). Needless to say, it's now also one of my favorite things, especially when paired with the mascara. Sexy kitteny lashtastic eyes in a snap.
The only down side is this ish basically gets tattooed onto your face so be prepared to use a bunch of remover before washing it off. See me going from zero eye makeup to just adding these two products and what a difference it makes, no shadow or anything! Go out and give them a try.
The deets: Michael Stars tank; LOFT skirt; Michael Antonio heels; Elizabeth and James sunnies; old Piperlime clutch (love this one); MK watch.
Sometimes I have these moments of extreme compulsiveness and just have to act on them. Sometimes it's in the form of just HAVING to make a recipe I found on Pinterest tonight, or seeing an outfit on someone else and NEEDING to replicate everything about it, and sometimes I just look in the mirror and crave a change - right now.
Enter this video tutorial by one of my favorite ladies and one box of Revlon "Frost and Glow" and you get one blonder instantly gratified Erin.
I know, it's crazy. Fortunately I LOVE the way it turned out! I would reccomend the product (and video) for anyone whos brave enough to try dying their own hair.
I have been asked three times in the last week what perfume I am wearing (I am hoping because I smell delightful and not because they want to stear clear of whatever I am wearing) and although I don't wear the same smell every day, each time I was asked I was wearing the above combination. People always seem a little surprised that I mix two together to get the scent I want so I thought I would share my secret here. I mix 1 part (or spritz) of Michael Kors "Glam Jasmine" with one part Lush's "Lust." The MK scent alone was not enough floral fragrance to me but "Lust" was a bit too much Jasmine on it's own. Together they are just what I am looking for!

One of my besties is having a little baby boy that's due in September. Myself, her family, and some of her other friends threw her a cute "little man" themed baby shower which turned out so adorable! I had no idea this was such a popular theme for baby boys, there was SO MUCH cute stuff available for the party, I just had to share some of my favorite snaps from the day. One thing is for sure, this gorgeous mama to be and her baby are very well loved.
The deets: J.Crew tee & pencil skirt; Zara heels (similar); Ray-Ban sunnies; Steve Madden bag (very similar under $40); J.Crew Factory necklace (similar, similar).
It has been HOT here in DC. Like, step outside and immediately have flat swampy hair and sun burned watch tan lines. It's not the most professional look, but a breathable cotton tee is the most I could handle last week, especially since I walk about half a mile to the metro every morning. Thank heavens for necklaces that can fancy up the situation. I know I wore this necklace shoe combo in the last outfit post but I just feel they are meant for each other. Bright colors like yellow with white are just what I tend to reach for on hot summer mornings.
So is it me or when you enter your mid to late twenties does everyone all of the sudden need a fully stocked wine rack? Call it adulthood, call it my inner wino emerging, but I would much rather enjoy a glass or two of malbec on my couch while hitting up my DVR over downing dollar beers at my local watering hole on a Thursday night (I used to have a very love-hate relationship with Friday mornings let me tell you). That paired with my love of semi-fancy things means that joining a wine club is the obvious next step in the evolution of my established adult-ness. I just always seem to need to run out to grab a bottle of wine for something, girls nights, house warming parties, birthdays, brunches, etc., and because I am not super educated on all the different types of wine out there, and you can't exactly go "tasting" at Harris Teeter, I always end up with the same few safe kinds (a.k.a. champs or pinot grigio).
Bright Cellars is basically the Birchbox for wine lovers. It was founded by two MIT-grads that wanted to help people find hidden vino gems that they totally love but wouldn't necessarily have reached for otherwise. You start by taking a quiz that helps them create a profile of taste preferences. They then use an algorithm (yeah - I just said algorithm, science y'all) to match you up with a monthly box of four different wines!
I have to say I am three bottles in to my month and I have LOVED each one. The Portuguese red they sent was absolutely amazing. Who knew I enjoyed smokey notes? THEY DID. Trust me, it's science. You can see my quiz results below.
BONUS: You can get 50% off your first month (regularly $60 a month) if you subscribe by using this link!
The deets: JOA skirt and top; Zara heels; South Moon Under sunnies & clutch; J.Crew necklace & bracelet.
I helped throw a baby shower for one of my best friends last weekend. When I saw this perfect little baby boy blue, flowy, summery, striped set on Kendi, I knew it had to be mine in time to wear for the party. I immediately scoured the internet, found one in my size, and slapped a two day shipping on it. Love at first sight totally happens via outfits on people you don't know sometimes guys, and it's awesome. And I know I totally cut myself off from buying any more striped dresses but this one is a two piece so it technically doesn't count right? Right.
