..Rice Krispies Treats

June 25, 2012

Me and the boy had a craving for old school cereal this weekend, which got me wondering about whatever happened to Rice Krispies Treat Cereal?  I would eat that deliciousness straight from the box.  We ended up absolutely needing to ingest Rice Krispies Treats immediately following this conversation.  It's a good thing they only take about 20 minutes!  Just melt three tablespoons of butter in a pot, add four cups of mini marshmallows until melty, then mix in six cups of your cereal.  Press mixture into a 13x9 inch pan and let cool. I added sprinkles to make them purdy.

  13. I love rice krispie treats! I can never make them right though - I always burn them. That might say more about my cooking skills than my love for the krispies though.

  14. throwbackkk... I can't believe the cereal our parents used to let us eat before school. No wonder we're all addicted to sugar! So good though.

  23. This is one of my all time favorite deserts - and I’m totally going to make them!! You adding sprinkles made this look 10x more yummy too.

I love when you don’t have to bake anything too... and licking that bowl with the marshmellow afterwards is pretty nice too :)
