As I have previously explained, I am trying to eat a bit healthier these days. My first attempt at satiating my junk food craving whilst staying true to my little health kick is this pizza trick which has a crust made of just cauliflower, seasonings, and an egg (crazy right?). I followed this recipe exactly and it turned out pretty good! I cannot stress how important it is to squeeze out as much water from the cauliflower as possible after steaming it. I think if I made it again I would thicken up the crust and cook it on a lower heat for much longer to make a better crust and maybe top with some mushrooms. Yum.
I love cauliflower! I will definitely have to try this out. I'd never thought of using it to make a pizza crust.
ReplyDeleteYes!! I'm proud of your health kick! You're doing great.... Isn't cauliflower so insane that it can be so many things....

I have seen this around and was really curious as to how it worked/tasted! Glad to hear good reviews, we will have to try this!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious! Cauliflower is a super versatile vegetable that has helped me curb a lot of my own comfort food cravings. Have you ever tried Melissa's shepherd's pie recipe? If not, I HIGHLY recommend it. I truly have yet to get sick of it. I've also been meaning to try this Asian cauliflower "fried rice" recipe from Nom Nom Paleo: http://nomnompaleo.com/post/3195098303/asian-cauliflower-fried-rice
ReplyDeleteSeriously, how good does that look?!
look atchu!!! getting all primal here! this is definitely a great way to pack a lot of veggie (cauliflower) into a pizza! i can not sing the praises of its versatility enough!!
