There is something about blue and white stripes, jeans, and pops of red that make me feel very authentically summer-dressed. Stick a Coca-Cola or Pepsi in my hand and I'd feel like an American woman poster child. I wore this outfit to Don Taco last weekend for a friends birthday dinner (the food and jalapeno margs were great). When the night winded down and everyone went their separate ways, my husband and I decided to grab NiceCream - also delicious - across the street. As soon as we sat down inside to share our cup of Nutella chip it POURED rain down harder than I have ever seen all season long. We were in window facing bar style seats all to ourselves so we watched people sprinting around without umbrellas, frantically trying to figure out what to do in the sudden monsoon. When we finished and were ready to hop in an Uber it totally stopped and I didn't get a drop on me! Things like that make me believe in magic and I try my best to be present in those moments to savor them.
