..Eyelash Curlers

curler

Today I want to pop in and stress the importance of curling your eyelashes, ladies. I know many of you totally skip over this part of your beauty routine all together but seriously peeps, it makes SUCH A DIFFERENCE! Please see the before and after photo above for proof. There is absolutely nothing different about my makeup with the exception of my lashes being curled in the second photo, and in my opinion, the after pic is WORLDS better than the before. My super top secret tip? Warm your curler up with your blow-dryer for a long lasting effect (but be very careful and test the temp on your cheek or hand before so you don't burn your eyeball off)! Another important tip is that all curlers are not created equal. Some may be okay to use after applying mascara has dried and some are absolutely not (aka they will eat your lashes and rip them off violently so I suggest doing it before mascara if you're not sure). I use a regular old Revlon one that you can get at any convenient store but this one is apparently the curler to end all curlers if you have a taste for fancy thangs.

  1. Your eyelashes really do look fabulous after curled! I just get so nervous using the curler. I'm worried that I'll use it and all my eyelashes will be pulled out. Maybe I'll give it a whirl this weekend.

    Have a great day!

  2. Oh my gosh, what!? I have one but never use it because I always think I"m just imagining the difference. Apparently not!

  3. You have naturally long lashes (from the photos I've seen, obv), but curling does make a huge difference, too!

  4. I NEVER remember to curl my eyelashes. In fact, I don't think I could find my curler right now. Maybe I'll do something about that, because the difference is really noticeable.

  6. Like Grace, me too l'm too nervous to use a curler but the result does look fabulous. I think l read somewhere that you can use a spoon to curl them. I'll google it in case l find sth.

  7. Is it the gold revlon one? I have that :) but I need to upgrade, I've had it for a few years now! I tried doing the heat-my-curler thing and i DID almost burn my eyeball off... wish I got that disclaimer earlier! I cannot leave the house w/out curling my eyelashes... it does make a world of difference!

  8. I've been heating up my eyelash curler with my blow dryer for years now and my friends thought I was crazy! Glad there's someone else who does it too :]

And yes, I can testify that the Shu Uemura tool is AMAZING. But so is the one from Tarte so take your pick!
