After an amazing nine days off filled with travel, presents, family, friends, and WAY too much sugar it's back to work and the regular routine for me. I don't know about you guys but it's going to be TOUGH tough tough to get through this first Monday. I have not missed the sound of my alarm or my morning commute one bit. My body, however, will be thankful for the return of health foods and workouts.

Currently, I just don't feel ready to put away all my summer favorites. Aside from the 90 degree October weather, I feel like with a little tweaking, you can really elongate the life of some of those pieces by throwing booties or a blazer with them. I purchased this dress in the very beginning of the summer and boy did I wear it's breezy, soft, cottony, heart out. It makes me happy to think it has another few weeks of wear left in it with the addition of my leather sleeved blazer.

I had a TON of fun last weekend visiting one of my besties for her b-day in New York. We crammed six chickies into a standard NYC sized apartment, danced our booties off, had brunch and more brunch, shopped, drank some dranks, danced some more (oh yes we did), and really just enjoyed being around each other. It's not often I get so much uninterrupted time with my college AND high-school girlfriends at the same time! I feel so very lucky to have them. LOVE YOU GUYS! Quote of the weekend: Swag don't come cheap.

Hey guys! In case you were wondering (and why wouldn't you?), this is what I look like on Saturday morning walks with our pup. Makeupless, giant sunnies to cover my ickface, layered up, flat shoes, and rocking awesomely tangled messy hair (I'm hoping this look somehow catches on because I'm having less and less patients for doing it - trail blazer right here). Here's to unglamorousness and my best attempt at making a serious model face. Oh, aaaand I wore this outfit the night before on a girl date that involved Magic Mike, red wine, and dark chocolate, so there's probably even a stain on it somewhere if you look hard enough. Ya know, just keepin' it real over here at Currently Coveting.
