These are some shots from my 29th birthday brunch, hosted by my very talented friend. The settings were so gorgeous I felt like I had to capture everything! I felt like I was in some kind of Alice in Wonderland botanical birthday land. It was amazing. While I don't have any relatives in the area, I consider myself so lucky to have many close friends in my network that I consider family. I know it's so cliche but I really am #blessed in that way.
Check out the amazing floral arrangements, delicious home cooked food, the awesome make your own bloody/mimosa bar-cart, and my favorite touch, the custom cake topper! The butterfly bags are something I put together separately as small thank-you's for spending a sunny Saturday in June on me. They have cheap mirrored aviators, custom hair ties, and lip scrub inside.

I made these cute little sundae themed cuppy cakes for a besties birthday this weekend. There was really no other reason I chose these except that they are the cutest. I made my usual vanilla cupcakes with my go-to cream cheese frosting (recipe here) but switched out 1/4 cup of the sugar in the frosting for 1/4 cup strawberry Nesquik mix to make a "strawberry ice cream" flavored icing. I then topped with a little ganache (recipe here), sprinkles, and a cherry. If you really want to load them up you could also add some chopped nuts!

Well I had the best birthday ever. Started out with BOTTOMLESS mimosas on the outside deck right on the water at Sequoia in Georgetown. I litereally had PERFECT weather and the best friends a girl could ask for to celebrate with. After meeting a pirate and discovering the Boomerang Pirate Ship (which we HAVE to do at some point friendies), we took the party pack to Arlington where I proceeded to take many a tequila shot, then stuffed our faces with cheese fries, and decided karaoke would be the best way to end the night. Love everyone who made my day feel so very special. You know who you are and you are my world!
